We are currently seeking a reliable and personable Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. *Responsibilities:*
* Patient Preparation and Support:
Prepare patients for endodontic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring they are comfortable. Assist in seating patients and preparing the treatment area.
* Assistance During Procedures:
Assist the endodontist during procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and ensuring the proper flow of materials. Maintain a clear and organized workspace, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and available.
* Radiography:
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed. Ensure proper radiographic techniques and patient safety protocols are followed.
* Sterilization and Infection Control:
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Patient Records and Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including procedure documentation and treatment plans. Ensure all patient information is handled in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
* Supply Management:
Monitor and manage dental supplies and materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels.
Order and restock supplies as needed.
* Professional Development:
Stay current with advancements in endodontic practices and dental assisting techniques. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities as required.
* Emergency Management:
Assist in managing dental emergencies, providing initial patient care and supporting the endodontist during emergency procedures.
* Office Coordination:
Coordinate with dental staff to facilitate smooth patient flow. Keep the waiting area clean and organized.
* Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints with professionalism and empathy. Escalate issues to appropriate personnel when necessary.
*Qualifications:*
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in using dental software and office management systems.
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Experience as a Registered Dental Assistant.
* Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
