*Summary*
We are seeking a passionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Hope Valley Health & Wellness in Wasilla Alaska. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to our mission of delivering transformative mental health care through evidence-based practices and holistic therapies.
*Responsibilities: *
* Conducts psychosocial assessments and initiates a discharge plan at admission.
* Maintains assigned caseload.
* Facilitate appropriate therapeutic groups and individual therapy sessions.
* May assist in educating and training staff on behavior management or therapeutic crisis intervention.
* May assist in the training of new clinical staff and interns.
* Completes utilization reviews in a timely manner.
* Complete necessary community referrals and ensure continuity of care with other agencies as needed.
* Conduct assessments, screenings, treatment planning, and managing clients' progress.
* Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications*
* Current license, ACSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT, APCC or LPCC, preferred.
* At least two (2) years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorder preferred.
* Working knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy.
* Current CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
* Must have a current TB test or chest x-ray.
* Must have and maintain a valid Alaska driver's license, clean driving record, and maintain personal auto insurance coverage.
* Knowledge of the requirements for providing services needed to clients.
* Experience in electronic charting preferred.
* Experience with conducting client group sessions, and one on one sessions is required.
* Strong understanding of the principles and application of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
* Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and CFR-42 client confidentiality regulations.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to work well and quickly under pressure both individually and as part of a team.
* Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
* Strong organizational skills with superior attention to detail
