* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary habits, and preventive care strategies to enhance their dental health outcomes.
* Take dental imaging (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
* Review and update medical records accurately in electronic health record (EHR), Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Monitor and document vital signs before procedures to identify any health concerns that may impact dental treatment.
* Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide seamless patient care.
* Assist with documentation review, medical coding, and billing processes related to dental procedures for accurate recordkeeping.
* Support the practice's commitment to patient care by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and excellent communication skills at all times.
*Requirements*
* Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials.
* Proven experience working in dental offices or clinics.
* Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
* Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation review and medical records management.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding practices relevant to dental care billing.
* Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.
* Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
