*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and assist in maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding HIPAA regulations. The Registered Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure optimal oral health outcomes for patients across all age groups, including pediatric dentistry.
*Duties*
* Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current oral health status.
* Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
* Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques and basic dental procedures.
* Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
* Review medical records and documentation for accuracy and completeness in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Support infection control standards by following aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
* Collaborate with dentists on patient care plans, including medical coding and documentation review for billing purposes.
* Provide pediatric dentistry support when necessary, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.
*Skills*
* Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and medical imaging techniques.
* Experience in pediatric dentistry, general dentistry, or both is highly desirable.
* Skilled in chairside assisting, vital signs measurement, and medical coding.
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical terminology, and medical records management.
* Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
* Knowledge of aseptic techniques, infection prevention protocols, and documentation review processes.
