We are looking for an experienced physical therapist to join our team at our Plant City office located at 420 North Plant Ave., Plant City, FL 33563.
*JOB SUMMARY: *
* Meets the patient's goals and needs and provides quality care, determining physical therapy treatment plans through evaluation, assessment, and in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
* Guides patient through the treatment plan; instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as exercises, ambulation, transfers, functional activities, activities of daily living, balance, and return to sport/work.
* Administers treatment modalities, including exercise, therapeutic activities, physical agents and other interventions within the scope of practice; Also directing treatments through the aid of physical therapy assistants, technicians, and athletic trainers.
* Assesses response of physical therapy treatments and progress, making adjustments as appropriate.
* Documents patient care thoroughly and in accordance with the appropriate standards.
* Maintains patient confidence and protects clinical operations by keeping information confidential.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
* Develops physical therapy staff through education and guidance; developing and conducting in-service training programs.
* Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
*Requirements of Physical Therapist:*
* Must have valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida
* Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
* Prefer at least two years' experience
* Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
* Ability to effectively interact with all age groups
* Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Current CPR/AED certification
* Advanced certifications preferred, not required (McKenzie, Graston, Vestibular, etc.)
*EQUIPMENT OPERATED: *Standard office and clinical equipment. Requires use of computer and electronic medical record (EMR) as needed.
*WORK ENVIRONMENT: *A combination of office and clinical setting. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, toxic substances, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, or hear. Daily job-related interactions will require the employee to push, pull, bend, squat, or demonstrate exercises. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing 5 to 30 lbs or more. May assist patients as needed, helping them on and off the exam table, or pushing wheelchairs. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Stress can be triggered by workload and complex cases. Occasional stress caused by multitasking, level of responsibility, and workload.
*POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: *
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. The work schedule is subject to change, based on organizational needs.
