*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring infection control, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive dental services for a very busy general dentistry practice.
*Duties*
* Assist Dr. Drost during various procedures including restorations, removable and fixed prosthodontics, extractions for patients from Infant to Centurians.
* Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed.
* Take intraoral dental X-rays and CT scans.
* Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and updating medical documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
* Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort.
* Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance.
* Maintain infection control standards by adhering to OSHA guidelines and proper sterilization protocols.
*Qualifications*
* Current Registered Dental Assistant Certification in the State of MN required
* Hourly Wage negotiable.
* Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting; familiarity with dental clinic operations is highly desirable.
* Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
* Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety standards.
* Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology related to dentistry.
* Experience supporting pediatric dentistry is preferred; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and coordinate with the dental team.

Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
