*Job Summary:*
The Speech Language Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing treatment for patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, utilize evidence-based practices, and work collaboratively with families and other healthcare professionals to support patient outcomes. The SLP will provide targeted speech and language therapy to a diverse population of clients, ranging from children to adults (ages 2 through 100+). The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work part-time, with potential opportunities to transition into a full-time position.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine the needs of patients.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
* Provide therapy for various speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, language processing, and cognitive-communication challenges.
* Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
* Document client progress through detailed records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and licensing requirements.
* Educate families/Clients about speech and language development, strategies for supporting their communication, and resources available.
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities to stay informed about current trends and best practices in speech-language pathology.
* Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
* Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, treatment options, and strategies for enhancing communication skills at home.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
*Qualifications:*
* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
* Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
* A certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
* Prior experience working with a wide range of ages, particularly with pediatric and adult populations, is preferred.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
* Ability to work effectively with clients of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
