Auburn Oaks is a 99-bed skilled nursing facility tucked in the scenic foothills of Auburn, California. We're hiring a Licensed Occupational Therapist and we're open to both Full-Time and Part-Time applicants. Full-Time hires are eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus after 90 days, but we welcome strong candidates for either schedule.

We're currently looking for a Licensed Occupational Therapist who's confident, collaborative, and ready to make a meaningful impact in our residents' daily lives.

*What You'll Be Doing*

* Evaluate new patients within 24 hours (or next business day) of referral and document any delays.
* Develop individualized treatment plans and obtain physician approval.
* Provide direct treatment according to the physician-approved plan.
* Supervise COTAs, aides, and students as required by state practice standards.
* Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams, including care conferences and UR meetings.
* Train Restorative Aides and provide in-services to staff throughout the facility.
* Document evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, and recerts in compliance with state board and payer requirements.
* Update treatment plans as needed and participate in discharge planning.
* Educate families/caregivers and recommend necessary DME (walkers, braces, grab bars, etc.).
* Report equipment issues and maintain a safe, functional therapy environment.

*What We're Looking For*

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.
* Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapist in California and maintain license in good standing.
* Computer proficiency in systems like Casamba and PointClickCare strongly preferred.

Key Skills

* Strong communication with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
* Ability to problem-solve in real-time and follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions.
* Capable of presenting information and answering questions clearly and professionally.
* Ability to calculate basic clinical metrics (fractions, ratios, percentages).

*Physical Requirements*

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling (up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly). Occasional bending, kneeling, crawling, or climbing may be required. Must be able to perform all aspects of patient handling safely.

*Work Environment*
