Job Summary:

Tyger River Family Dentistry is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. Responsibilities:

- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Conduct oral cancer screenings

- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the dentist

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions

- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials

- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans

- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment

Qualifications:

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene

- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

- Proficiency in medical imaging software

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including pediatrics

- Attention to detail for accurate medical records documentation
