*Duties*
* Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and post-surgical cases.
* Provide hands-on therapy interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and function.
* Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards and facility protocols.
* Educate patients and their families on proper exercise routines, injury prevention strategies, discharge planning, and home health care instructions to promote continued recovery outside of clinical settings.
* Support discharge planning efforts by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions from inpatient or outpatient care to home or community-based services.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and safety guidelines during all therapy sessions.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize care plans based on physiology knowledge, anatomy insights, and patient-specific needs.
* Stay current with advances in physiotherapy practices by participating in ongoing training related to orthopedic rehabilitation, geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care, outpatient therapy, and skilled nursing facility experience.
*Qualifications*
* Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations.
* Demonstrated experience working in inpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities; home health experience is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and various physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy.
* Proven ability to deliver exceptional patient care across diverse populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and post-operative patients.
* Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations and acute care environments; experience with care plans and discharge planning processes is preferred.
* Excellent communication skills for educating patients effectively and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams.
