*Position Title:* Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
*Location:* Indian Reservation Hospital / Tribal Health Facility

*Job Summary*
The ER RN provides comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring culturally competent and patient-centered care for American Indian and Alaska Native populations. This role involves triage, stabilization, and coordination of care for patients with urgent and emergent conditions.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Perform rapid assessment and triage of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
* Administer medications, IV therapy, and advanced life support interventions as indicated.
* Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
* Operate and monitor emergency equipment (e.g., cardiac monitors, ventilators).
* Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
* Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.
* Participate in emergency preparedness drills and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with IHS standards, federal regulations, and tribal health policies.
*Qualifications*
* *Education:* Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
* *Licensure:* Current, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state.
* *Certifications:*
* Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
* *Experience:* Minimum 1-2 years of ER or critical care experience preferred.
* *Skills:* Strong clinical judgment, cultural sensitivity, and ability to work in resource-limited settings.
