*Job Overview*
The Therapy Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate *Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)* to join our outpatient care team. As an LPTA, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care in a dynamic, patient-centered outpatient setting. You will play a key role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage pain, and restore function and mobility.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans for outpatient clients.
* Deliver therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
* Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes and concerns to the therapist.
* Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and rehabilitation goals.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with healthcare standards.
* Foster a safe, clean, and supportive environment during therapy sessions.
* Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
*Qualifications*
* *Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Virginia*.
* *Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program*.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
* Previous experience in an *outpatient physical therapy setting* preferred, especially with orthopedic and geriatric populations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
* Understanding of outpatient discharge planning and patient education to support long-term recovery.
