*Position Overview*:
Rocklin Ranch at Pac street is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. We are open to new graduates interested in learning advanced dental procedures such as complicated extractions, nerve blocks, and suturing. Experienced RVTs in dentistry are also highly encouraged to apply.

*Our Hours*:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
*Key Responsibilities*:
* Perform complex dental procedures, including molar extractions and nerve blocks (training is provided).
* Administer and monitor anesthesia, including CRI calculations.
* Provide excellent client communication and education.
* Perform venipuncture, IVC placement, and intubation.
* Run in-house lab tests and perform diagnostic procedures.
* Administer medications and fill prescriptions.
* Take high-quality radiographs.
* Maintain equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the facility.
* Assist other departments as needed and follow OSHA regulations.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Skills & Qualifications*:
* A valid RVT license is required.
* Strong technical and clinical skills, including anesthesia, venipuncture, IVC placement, and dental procedures.
* Excellent customer service and computer skills.
* Ability to think critically and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
* Ability to work safely with animals, including those that are larger or more aggressive.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance for larger animals.
*Physical Demands*:
* Regularly bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, and use hands for tasks such as restraining animals or handling equipment.
* Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly, with occasional assistance with larger animals.
*Work Environment*:
* Exposure to potential hazards, including aggressive animals, infectious diseases, unpleasant odors, and animal waste.
* Must follow all safety regulations, including those for handling controlled substances, and adhere to OSHA guidelines.

*Compensation*:
* Pay is dependent on experience and proficiency.
* RVTs with at least 3 years of dental experience will be at the higher end of the pay scale: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour.
