We are looking for a skilled *Athletic Trainer* to fill a _unique _roll. This position will function both as _University Rehabilitation Coordinator_ and _Outpatient Clinical AT_ supporting Orthopedic Physicians within a busy outpatient clinic. This _full-time_ position offers a supportive work-life balance, with a 40-hour work week with time equally dedicated to both roles and responsibilities.
*As a Division III *_*University Rehabilitation Coordinator*_*, key responsibilities include but are not limited to:*
* Provide immediate emergency care for athletic injuries.
* Coordinate injury prevention programs and manage athlete health concerns.
* Refer athletes to appropriate medical professionals, including doctors or emergency departments, as needed.
* Evaluate injuries, develop treatment plans, and supervise rehabilitation programs.
* Oversee daily activities of Athletic Training students, ensuring a productive learning environment.
* Complete timely evaluations of Athletic Training students under your supervision.
* Serve as a liaison between athletes, coaching staff, parents, and medical providers.
* Ensure proper selection and fitting of protective equipment for athletes.
* Maintain and manage accurate medical records for athletes.
* Exhibit professionalism and commitment to ongoing professional development in Athletic Training.
* Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Sports Medicine.
*As an *_*Outpatient Clinical AT *_*in a busy orthopedic practice, key responsibilities include but are not limited to: *
* Maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow in the office along with assist physicians
* Room patients, complete intake on each patient then present to provider
* Remove stitches, staples, or cast/splint, dress any open wounds and fit patients with DME per provider protocol
* Input X-ray orders, draw up injections, get ultrasound ready and schedule MRI, CT, bone scan, labs, EMG per provider
* Fill out office forms and forms for patients (PT script, med script, work notes)
* Break down and clean room at end of clinic, unpack shipments, put away supplies and change out sharps containers
* Soak, clean, pack instruments and run through autoclave
_Qualifications_
* BOC-certified and licensed athletic trainer, or eligible for licensure, in the state of Wisconsin.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Graduate Degree preferred
