Long Beach Peninsula, Washington State -A beautiful place to live with diverse natural attractions in a quaint rural setting. We are situated approximately 30 minutes from Astoria, Oregon, 2 hours from Portland, Oregon, and 3.5 hours from Seattle, Washington.

Description

This will be a hybrid position with some retail shifts, but the majority of the coverage will be in our closed-door non-sterile compounding pharmacy. No experience compounding? No problem, we will train you! Our compounding operation is growing rapidly and we are looking for a pharmacist to grow with it.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Pharmacy or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.).

• Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state for which you are applying.

• Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions filled by completing Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance, applicable to state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations.

• Comply with HIPAA and all other applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

• Build profitable business and script growth through recommended clinical programs, including appropriate immunization, Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and other ongoing programs as applicable.

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with medical-related issues and providing healthcare counseling.

• Handle and resolve customer issues and questions to build customer trust and loyalty.

• Supervise the work completed by support staff while on duty.

• Assist with training, coaching and managing the pharmacy associates and assume management responsibility over the entire pharmacy as needed.

• Prioritize Pharmacy Department tasks and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Including, but not limited to, cycle counts, inventory management, and will-calls to customers.

• Maintain appropriate security of the Pharmacy department.

• Interact with physicians and utilize reference material to gain information on customers and prescriptions and to resolve any issues that arise.

• Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.

Store Hours

Varies: Generally, Monday through Friday: 9:00AM-6:00PM, some stores may include occasional weekend shifts.
