```Duties```
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including but not limited to teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing
- Conduct patient assessments, including oral health screenings and reviewing medical history
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for dental care
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Take dental x-rays and perform other medical imaging procedures
- Assist the dentist during procedures, providing necessary instruments and materials
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic dental software (Eaglesoft, Epic)
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques through continuing education
```Skills```
- Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for creating dental restorations
- Strong patient assessment skills, including the ability to identify oral health issues and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Experience working with pediatric patients, providing gentle and compassionate care
- Familiarity with electronic dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic for managing patient records and scheduling appointments
- Knowledge of medical coding practices for accurate billing and insurance claims submission
- Excellent understanding of human anatomy, particularly as it relates to the oral cavity
- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and adhere to aseptic techniques during all procedures
