Bridge Animal Referral Center (BARC) is a privately-owned oncology practice located in Edmonds, WA. Our vision is to grow into a comprehensive multi-specialty care facility, and we currently offer oncology, surgery, and CT services.

*Position Summary*
A licensed veterinary technician (vet tech) in a specialty practice plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operations within the clinic, enhancing patient outcomes, and fostering strong relationships with clients providing advanced medical care to animals.
Candidates should bring strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, work well independently and within a team, and have a commitment to patient-centered care. Multi-tasking, compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential.
*Essential Responsibilities*
• Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of veterinary procedures; Venipuncture, placing intravenous catheters, perform radiographs/CT scans, Anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery for Oncology ECT patients or CT, perform and confirm complex calculations and conversions, prepare prescriptions and communicate discharge orders to clients, maintain accurate controlled drug and chemo logs, knowledge of industry terminology, and the use of medical equipment.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members; in person and over the phone.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain accurate medical records and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Triage and obtain in depth accurate patient history.
• Compassionate Care: A commitment to animal welfare and providing empathetic support to both patients and their owners.
• Laboratory Work: They conduct diagnostic tests, including blood work and urinalysis, to aid in diagnosing conditions.
* Handle client complaints and resolve issues effectively
* Assist clients with forms and documentation to ensure necessary consent forms have been signed for
*Requirements:* Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience and currently working in the role, with a preference for those who have worked in a specialty practice previously.
You must be licensed in the state of Washington.
