*Dental Hygiene position*
To excel in this position you must be self motivated but also able to work well with a team. In this Family Practice style office we all work together to get our goals accomplished. A love for hygiene and personable attitude will let you fit right in.
*Specific Duties & Responsibilities*
* Work schedule: *Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM*
* Perform comprehensive hygiene services including:
* Dental cleanings (prophylaxis)
* Scaling and root planing
* Sealant application
* Assisting in treatment planning
* Capture diagnostic *dental radiographs* as needed
* Conduct thorough *patient assessments* and *oral health screenings*
* Provide patient education on proper *oral hygiene techniques* and personalized *preventive care instructions*
* *Administer local anesthetic* (preferred, not required)
* Accurately document all patient interactions and clinical findings using *Eaglesoft* dental software
* Maintain strict adherence to *HIPAA guidelines* to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
* Follow established *aseptic techniques* and *infection control protocols* to ensure a safe clinical environment
*Qualifications*
* Valid state dental hygiene license
* Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
* Minimum of 2 years experience
* Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral pathology, and periodontal disease
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Proficient in dental codes
* Experience with Eaglesoft software
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*
* Work well with others
* Strong communication skills
* Grasp of periodontal disease diagnosis and treatment
* Basic understanding of restorative procedures, implants and orthodontic options
* Confidence in personal understanding of what constitutes a healthy mouth
* Flexibility to adjust to office norms
