*Responsibilities*
* Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
* Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
* Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to foster lifelong healthy habits.
* Be proficient taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
* Maintain detailed documentation of treatments performed, patient interactions, and follow-up care in electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
* Support infection control practices by sterilizing instruments, managing medical waste properly, and maintaining a sterile environment.
*Requirements*
* Valid Dental Hygiene license in accordance with state regulations.
* Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry practices.
* Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
* Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix for accurate recordkeeping.
* Excellent communication skills for educating patients about their oral health needs effectively.
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16.0 - 32.0 per week
