Care Must is looking for a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist to join our growing team in the Salinas area. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will develop and implement individualized physical therapy programs to restore function, improve mobility, and alleviate pain for our patients. You will work closely with patients of all ages and abilities, helping them achieve their highest physical potential and improve their quality of life.
*Responsibilities*
§ Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including reviewing medical history, performing physical examinations, and identifying patient needs and goals.
§ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations and physician referrals, utilizing a variety of techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities.
§ Provide direct patient care, instructing and assisting patients in performing exercises and activities, monitoring their progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
§ Accurately document patient care services, including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, following regulatory, licensing, and payer requirements.
§ Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
§ Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices to promote long-term wellness.
§ Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, ensuring equipment is in good working order and adhering to infection control protocols.
§ Stay current on the latest physical therapy techniques and research, participating in continuing educational activities to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
*Qualifications*
§ Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
§ Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the State of California.
§ Current CPR certification.
§ Minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in physical disabilities setting, preferably in acute care or acute rehab, or completion of a six to nine-month internship in acute care or acute rehab.
§ Strong organizational and communication skills.
§ Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
§ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
§ Knowledge of physical therapy theory, treatment, and evaluation in areas of neurology is recommended.
*Compensation*
The compensation range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Care Must also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, a 401(k)-retirement plan, and flexible spending accounts.
