*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic settings, including ICU, geriatrics, and outpatient care. This role involves assessing patients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy to help patients achieve their goals. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
* Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual assessments.
* Provide therapeutic interventions in diverse settings such as skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, and schools.
* Facilitate discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving care settings.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance care strategies.
* Educate patients and their families about treatment options and strategies for daily living activities.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
*Skills*
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to occupational therapy practices.
* Experience working with diverse populations, including those with autism and other developmental disorders.
* Proficiency in early intervention techniques for children and adolescents.
* Ability to perform effective discharge planning in coordination with healthcare teams.
* Familiarity with geriatric care principles and practices within skilled nursing facilities.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality patient care.
