Job Description

  • Position Overview
    • Under the professional supervision and collaboration of a UHS Occupational Medicine physician, our Nurse Practitioners provide direct patient care, in accordance with accepted standards of medical and nursing practice at UHS and in compliance with all regulatory agencies that impact the practice of Occupational Medicine. The NP provides health teaching/education for Occupational Medicine patients as well as support services and education for our customers (employers).
    • This position is 50% Employee Health and 50% Occupational Medicine.
  • Position Requirements
    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum Required:
        • Masters Degree in  Nursing
      • Preferred:
        • One year of  experience in Occupational Medicine or a walk-in type urgent care setting
        • Knowledge and experience working the regulatory requirement of the Department of Transportation, NYS Department of Health, and NYS Workers’ Compensation Law
        • Skills in decision making, problem solving, and independent judgment
    • License/Certification
      • Minimum Required:
        • Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse License
        • Current NYS Nurse Practitioner License
        • Certified Prescriptive Privilege in NYS Possession of BNDD Number
        • CPR Certified
        • National certification through ANCC,
        • American Nurse Credential Center
      • Preferred:  ACLS Certification

Salary Range $129,900 - $151,500 annually
