Your expertise will help ensure our Veterans receive the comprehensive evaluations they deserve, all while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields
  • Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Ability to perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Reliable and self-motivated with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience with Veterans' evaluations or similar government-mandated assessments
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission procedures
  • Experience with telehealth or remote assessments

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP preferred)
  • At least 2 years’ clinical experience in general medicine
  • Prior experience in compensation and pension exams is advantageous, but not mandatory

Other Requirements:
  • Must have own office space located within the specified mileage radii for each site
  • Ability to work on a PRN, ongoing basis, with flexible hours including half-day and full-day shifts
  • Reliable internet access and necessary medical equipment for conducting assessments
  • Willingness to perform exam-related administrative tasks such as report writing and follow-up documentation
  • Local candidates only; travel included in rates

This position offers a competitive flat rate of $600 for half-day (4-hour) shifts and $1,200 for full-day (5-hour or more) shifts, with a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and performing initial exams. Enjoy weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick time, and additional reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses where applicable.
