The Department of Neurology at Banner – University Medicine Phoenix is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) either an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic and growing Neurocritical Care (NCC) team. This exceptional opportunity is ideal for APPs who are passionate about patient-centered care, clinical education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. About Our Neurocritical Care Program

Our Neurocritical Care unit is the largest in the Valley, featuring 44 dedicated neurocritical care beds supported by two daily clinical teams. The incoming APP will join a robust and collaborative group that includes:

• 6 Neurocritical Care physicians
• 6 experienced NCC nurse practitioners
• A dedicated pharmacist
• Comprehensive supportive staff
• Cutting-edge neuromonitoring technology, reflecting our role as pioneers in neuromonitoring innovation

As part of this team, the new APP will also be expected to participate in a shared night call rotation with the existing six NPs, contributing to our commitment to 24/7 exceptional patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• Current (or ability to obtain) unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Arizona
• Certification from a recognized board:
• ACNPs: AANP or ANCC
• PAs: NCCPA
• DEA license, BLS, ACLS
• Preferably at least two years of experience or strong clinical background in Neurocritical Care

Essential Functions

• Provide comprehensive care to neurocritical care patients in collaboration with NCC physicians and multidisciplinary team members
• Manage a daily patient census of approximately 12 - 15 patients
• Participate in department educational activities, including training/supervising nursing staff, residents, and medical students
• Share in the NCC team’s night call rotation
