What You Will Do:
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for inpatient clients.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Apply evidence-based practices and follow established protocols to support recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all safety and compliance standards.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure with specialization in Psychiatry.
- Proven experience in psychiatric patient care, preferably in inpatient settings.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with compliance standards and documentation protocols.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with crisis intervention or CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training.
- Knowledge of local/state mental health laws and regulations.
- Bilingual abilities pertinent to the patient population served.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on psychiatric nursing experience.
- Past involvement in inpatient mental health units preferred.
Other Requirements:
- CPI training is a Massachusetts State requirement, not a credentialing prerequisite — candidates should be aware of this prior to hire.
- Flexibility to work the inpatient unit for a 4-6 week assignment starting February 23, 2026.
- Ability to secure and maintain necessary licenses and certifications.
- Willingness to comply with all relevant health and safety protocols.
