In this position, you will primarily work independently, delivering anesthesia for a variety of cases including OB and general surgeries. You will have the support of a knowledgeable team of anesthesiologists, OR staff, and post-op personnel, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The caseload includes 30-40 deliveries per month and an average of 5-6 procedures daily, primarily involving adult and OB patients. The shift schedule is a 5-day workweek (8-hour days from 08:00 to 17:00) with 6 night call shifts per month, scheduled on a 3-month rotation with options to extend. Lodging will be provided.
Required Skills:
- Valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license
- Current certification in advanced airway management and ACLS
- Proven experience delivering anesthesia in obstetric settings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols and patient safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in rural or small hospital environments
- Proficiency with local/regional anesthesia techniques
- BLS certification
- Previous experience with OB/surgical anesthesia in high-volume settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia
- Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience, with a preference for obstetric cases
- Prior experience working in a rural or community hospital
Other Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges within 30-45 days
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts and on-call rotations
- Valid state professional license and certifications
- Travel and licensure reimbursements will be provided, where applicable
