Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Obstetrics Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specializing in obstetric care. This vital role offers the opportunity to provide exceptional anesthesia services in a close-knit rural hospital setting, where your expertise directly enhances patient outcomes. In this position, you will primarily work independently, delivering anesthesia for a variety of cases including OB and general surgeries. You will have the support of a knowledgeable team of anesthesiologists, OR staff, and post-op personnel, ensuring comprehensive patient care. The caseload includes 30-40 deliveries per month and an average of 5-6 procedures daily, primarily involving adult and OB patients. The shift schedule is a 5-day workweek (8-hour days from 08:00 to 17:00) with 6 night call shifts per month, scheduled on a 3-month rotation with options to extend. Lodging will be provided.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) license
  • Current certification in advanced airway management and ACLS
  • Proven experience delivering anesthesia in obstetric settings
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols and patient safety standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in rural or small hospital environments
  • Proficiency with local/regional anesthesia techniques
  • BLS certification
  • Previous experience with OB/surgical anesthesia in high-volume settings

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's degree or higher in Nurse Anesthesia
  • Minimum of 2 years of CRNA experience, with a preference for obstetric cases
  • Prior experience working in a rural or community hospital

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges within 30-45 days
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts and on-call rotations
  • Valid state professional license and certifications
  • Travel and licensure reimbursements will be provided, where applicable
