Job Description

Advanced Practice Provider, Cancer Genomics

About this role:

As an Advanced Practice Provider, Cancer Genomics, you will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will deliver precision oncology care by integrating genetic and genomic information into cancer risk assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and survivorship.

  • You will practice at Valley Center Tower in Murray, Utah – remotely
  • Your hours will be 4/10s, Monday through Thursday, 8am-6pm with some flexibility  
  • 2 days for existing and 2 days for new patients
  • Provide pre?test and post?test counseling to patients and families, ensuring understanding of risks, benefits, limitations, and potential outcomes of genomic testing.
  • You will communicate genomic finds clearly to patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • You will build a patient panel between 8-12 patients per day.

What you’ll bring:

  • APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program
  • Board certification or eligibility in the designated discipline
  • Active, unobstructed Utah medical license, or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience in oncology, or genetics is required
  • Prefer certifications in Cancer Genetic Risk Assessment Certification and Advanced Clinical Genomics Nurse
  • Strong understanding of hereditary cancer syndromes, genomic testing platforms, and variant interpretation frameworks.
  • Full prescriptive authority and an active DEA, or the ability to obtain one
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
