Job Description
UM St. Joseph Medical Group (UMSJMG), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has a full-time employed position available for a Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their practice located in Towson, MD. Nurse Practitioner
Job Specifics:
• Position dedicated to the management and treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, pulmonary hypertension (PH), interstitial lung disease (ILD), follow-up with lung nodule patients and obstructive sleep apnea.
• Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
• Interpret test results for deviations from normal.
• Perform therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, as appropriately credentialed.
• Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
• Position a blend of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities as needed.
• Collaborative, supportive team comprised of 9 providers.
• Monday through Friday work schedule; No call, No weekends!
• NP’s must be Adult-Gero Primary Care NP or Adult-Gero Acute Care Certified.
• Candidates with pulmonary and sleep medicine experience are encouraged to apply
