Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt and effective treatment for common illnesses and minor injuries
• Conduct same-day appointments for patients across all age groups
• Collaborate with a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Work within a family medicine practice, facilitating walk-in visits from existing patients
• Foster continuity of care and maintain high standards of patient-focused service

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies
• Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Clinician in the state of Ohio
• Experience in family medicine or urgent care preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

In December 2017, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published its new star ratings index on Hospital Compare.  Eight Mercy Health hospitals improved ratings from last year with Mercy Health Defiance Hospital receiving a 5-star rating – the highest rating a hospital can achieve.  The overall rating summarizes up to 57 quality measures on Hospital Compare reflecting common conditions that hospitals treat, such as heart attacks or pneumonia.  The overall rating shows how well each hospital performed, on average, compared to other hospitals in the U.S.  The overall rating ranges from one to five stars. The more stars, the better a hospital performed on the available quality measures. The most common overall rating is 3 stars.
