OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is seeking an experienced advanced practice nurse or physician assistant to join our adult cardiovascular surgery critical care team. This team member will work soley in our busy cardiovascular intensive care unit.
This individual collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and closely with physicians and surgeons to serve as a key team member in a 24-hour-directed multidisciplinary model in a 32-bed adult heart unit.
Our high-acuity ICU desires individuals with experience in managing complex post operative adult cardiac surgery patients, including heart transplants, mechanical circulatory support (Impella, IABP), ventricular assist devices (VAD) and ECMO.
Requires experience as an APP in cardiology (preferably CV surgery).
Weekend and holiday rotations are required. Schedule is primarily days, but can flex to some nights. APPs work together to make their own schedule.

- Clinical base hourly pay range for this position: $60.39--$73.68.
- Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.
POSITION SUMMARY: According to professional standards of care, performs a variety of advanced nursing / physician assistant functions. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
