About Us

Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton, formerly Hazleton General Hospital, has 150 beds and provides inpatient acute care, rehab care at Gunderson Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation, emergency care, maternity and home care. It was the first accredited Primary Care Stroke Center in northeast Pennsylvania. In November 2015, the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation granted Level IV Trauma Center accreditation to LVH–Hazleton.

Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton is the recipient of several quality awards in heart failure, stroke and coronary artery disease care by the American Heart Association, and has been recognized by HealthGrades for Excellence in Patient Safety for five consecutive years (2008-2012) and Pulmonary Care for three years (2012-2014).
