Centrally located in Coles County, Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is a 145-bed, not-for-profit, acute-care regional hospital located in East Central Illinois.
The Health Center provides a full range of acute-care, general services and home health services to approximately 357,000 residents of Coles and the surroundings 12 counties. The Health Center's active and consulting medical staff includes more than 185 providers representing 28 specialties.
In a recent survey of our physicians, they rated their current satisfaction with their career here in the 91st percentile. Likewise, our employees placed us in the 95th percentile in engagement in their career.

About Our CommunityMattoon/Charleston is centrally located between Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis; three of the country's larger metropolitan centers. All are reached within two-three hours via interstate highways.
Most employees enjoy a drive to work of less than 15 minutes door-to-door which gives them additional time to spend with their families and doing the sorts of leisure activities they enjoy. The communities offer us a feeling of security as the crime rate is very low. You'll know many of your neighbors and fellow town residents.
Both Mattoon and Charleston have great schools with some private options. College level education is available at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston and at Lake Land College in Mattoon. Recreational activities such as: golf, tennis, horse back riding, water skiing, sailing, camping, canoeing, hiking, fishing, and hunting are abundant in the area. Art, theater, athletic events, and historical sites are locally available as well.
