*Overview*
The Island Park Clinic is a busy clinic in the summer and slower in the winter months. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages, focusing on preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various health conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

*Responsibilities*

* Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
* Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across all age groups.
* Provide preventive care services, including immunizations and health screenings.
* Manage patient care in various settings including outpatient clinics, nursing homes, and hospitals.
* Collaborate with specialists for referrals and coordinate patient care.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
* Perform minor surgical procedures such as suturing and catheterization when necessary.
* Administer injections, IV infusions, and other treatments as required.
* Engage in health coaching and education for patients regarding lifestyle changes and disease management.
* Participate in clinical research initiatives as needed.
* Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in family medicine.

*Qualifications*

* Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) degree from an accredited institution.
* Board certification in Family Medicine or eligibility for board certification.
* Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred.
* Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10 coding systems is advantageous.
* Clinical experience in areas such as pediatrics, geriatrics, urgent care, or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in performing procedures including but not limited to IV insertion, phlebotomy, and sutures
* Knowledge of acute pain management techniques and behavioral health considerations is a plus.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions.
