*Job Summary*
Careview is seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Charge Nurse will play a crucial role in overseeing patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, particularly within a Level I or Level II trauma center.
*Duties*
* Supervise nursing staff and coordinate patient care activities to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on medical history and current health status.
* Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in EMR/EHR systems, including vital signs, medication administration records, and patient progress notes.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care for patients across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, urgent care, and post-acute care.
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
* Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
* Monitor staff performance and provide guidance or training as necessary to enhance clinical skills.
*Requirements*
* Current nursing license with relevant experience in a clinical setting.
* Proficiency in basic life support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications preferred (e.g., ACLS).
* Experience in emergency medicine, medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, or infectious disease care is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and vital sign assessment.
* Skills in venipuncture, IV insertion, medication administration, and experience administering injections.
* Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for effective medical documentation and record keeping.
