*Duties*
* Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry.
* Perform vital signs checks and document findings accurately in the patient's medical records.
* Utilize Eaglesoft software for patient management and documentation review.
* Assist in four-handed dentistry techniques during procedures to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
* Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during examinations and treatments.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
* Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
* Implement aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
* Stay updated on medical terminology, dental terminology, and current best practices in general dentistry.
*Skills*
* Proficient in Eaglesoft software systems for managing patient records and scheduling.
* Strong knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and practices.
* Experience with chairside assisting in a dental office or clinic setting.
* Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
* Ability to perform patient assessments effectively, including understanding anatomy knowledge and vital signs monitoring.
* Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and education to patients regarding their oral health care.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and compliance with infection control standards.
