Well established, friendly private practice looking for Full or Part-Time Hygienist.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning teeth, removing plaque, and applying fluoride treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for at-home care
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral health evaluations
- Assist the dentist during procedures and provide chairside support
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Eaglesoft software
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality and privacy
Experience:
- Oregon RDH required licenses and certifications
-Nitrous certificate in Oregon preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in using Eaglesoft software for medical documentation and patient records
- Strong knowledge of infection control procedures and practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and dental coding systems
- Ability to perform patient assessments, including medical imaging interpretation and CAD analysis
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient records
- Ability to work well in a team environment and assist the dentist during procedures
- Proficiency in using dental equipment, such as x-ray machines and dental instruments
