The Certified Clinician may provide direct clinical services and case management services as appropriately assigned for clients of SCS. The overall purpose is to provide quality service delivered with dignity and respect for the client. The Certified Clinician will practice in an ethical manner, work with colleagues and clients with respect and will be subject to supervision of his/her activities. The Program Manager/Supervisor or any member of the Management Team will supervise the Certified Clinician when appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Completion of a Bachelor/Master's Degree in social work, mental health, substance abuse, or human relations discipline and has two years of documented, supervised, experience and training in providing substance abuse treatment.
2. Certification as a Substance Abuse Worker or Social Worker under the Mental Health Professions Licensing Board.
3. Eligibility and ability to maintain professional liability insurance provided by
SCS.
4. Ability to pass a criminal background investigation or demonstrate rehabilitation.
5. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
6. Proficient with a computer and the required software programs of SCS.

Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Capable of effective professional communication with staff and clients.
2. Capable of performing written, dictated, or typed record keeping and correspondence as it relates to job functions.
3. Capable of rapport building with clients to facilitate their engagement in the psychotherapy process.
4. Familiarity with basic counseling concepts, techniques and general procedures that facilitate clinical services.
5. Ability to meet deadlines, including those which may be difficult to meet, and to meet productivity standards.
6. Capable of comprehending, editing, interpreting, and organizing written materials.
7. Capable of functioning as a team member including skills of cooperation, consultation, and appropriate referral.
8. Capable of appropriately seeking and utilizing clinical and administrative supervision.
