Exciting opportunity available for an experienced veterinary surgical technician! Fenton River Vet is a fast-paced, progressive, expanding practice located in Tolland, CT. We have recently completed a 5,000 sq ft expansion including a one-of-a-kind brand new surgical wing with two large surgical suites for soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries. We perform a lot of surgeries from spay/neuters to ACLs, FHO's, fracture repairs, C-sections, GDV, you name it! We are looking for someone who enjoys being a team player in an exciting, upbeat environment working side by side with our surgical team and surgeons to provide the best care. Although not required since we are willing to teach, preference will be given to technicians who are experienced with patient prep, monitoring, recovery, and have scrubbed in for procedures in the past. The ideal candidate would have an upbeat attitude, be hardworking, organized and willing to learn new things. There is also the opportunity to work with all species of animals including exotics, birds, pocket pets, goats, sheep, pigs and basically anything that walks through the door!
