*The Role:*
The Clinician responds to the needs of clients to maximize the recovery, resilience, and wellness of individuals who are developing or experiencing mental health, alcohol, or drug concerns. This role combines clinical professionalism with innovative service delivery. While the long-term model is clinic- and residential-based care, the initial phase of this position will operate from a customized mobile health unit, providing assessment, monitoring, and coordination of care in community-based settings. Staff will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity, safety, and quality of care during the mobile phase and will transition into a more traditional clinical environment as the facility renovation is completed.
*What you will do:*
* Responsible for clinical assessment
* Provides crisis intervention to persons in acute distress
* Diagnoses using the DSM 5
* Develop comprehensive treatment plans, and referrals for additional services
* Provides intensive agency based, community-based, individual, family and group therapy to clients
* Provides case management services to collaterals
* Provides on-call coverage on a rotating basis
* May perform other related duties as assigned
Team members will work in a highly mobile, community-facing environment that prioritizes outreach, engagement, and relationship-building. Services are provided in partnership with local agencies, first responders, healthcare providers, and community organizations, with staff operating out of a customized mobile unit during the start-up phase. This role requires comfort with non-traditional service delivery, adaptability, and a strong commitment to meeting clients in community-based settings. As the program grows, staff will help shape the transition from mobile services into a fully operational clinic and residential treatment environment.
*Qualifications:*
* Licensed by the Nebraska Counseling Licensure Board as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Mental Health Practitioner, or Licensed by the Nebraska Board of Psychology as a Licensed Psychologist
* Must meet required professional training and certification by licensing board
* Valid Nebraska Drivers' License required
* At least 2 years of professional-level experience in related field is preferred
* Completion of a pre-employment drug screen
* Completion of a background check
* Satisfactory Driving Record
*Skills:*
* Comfort working in a mobile, start-up environment during the program's initial phase
* Ability to engage clients and partners in community-based settings
* Strong organizational and communication skills to support services delivered outside of a traditional office
* Flexibility and adaptability as the program transitions from mobile operations to a clinic and residential treatment setting
This position is part of a new, innovative behavioral health initiative launching in western Nebraska. During the initial phase of implementation, services will be delivered primarily through a customized mobile unit while our permanent crisis and residential treatment facility undergoes renovation. This mobile model allows our team to meet individuals where they are, reducing barriers to care, strengthening community partnerships, and responding flexibly to local needs. As construction is completed, this role will transition into a clinic-based and residential treatment setting within our newly refurbished hospital facility.
