About the Role
Granville Health System, a rural county-based 62-bed hospital located just 40 miles north of Raleigh, is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hospitalist. The APP Hospitalist will provide comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients, working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct inpatient care to adult patients
- Deliver episodic and chronic care, as well as screening and patient education
- Conduct inpatient and outpatient consultations in internal medicine
- Ensure high-quality care by following current evidence-based guidelines and institutional procedures
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations for patient safety and quality of care
- Participate in quality assurance audits, continuing education, and peer review activities
- Stay current with industry developments through ongoing training and education
- Recognize and respect the diversity of the patient population, providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Demonstrate clinical competence with knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and relevant medical procedures
- Collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and families, maintaining professional and empathetic interactions
Qualifications – Nurse Practitioner:
- Master’s degree in area of specialty (required)
- Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)
- State authority for advanced practice
- Knowledge of relevant concepts, practices, and procedures
Qualifications – Physician Assistant:
- Master’s degree in area of specialty (required)
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) as PA-C
- State authority for advanced practice
