Position Summary
Granville Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. This role is responsible for administering anesthesia across a variety of clinical settings while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality of care. The CRNA will collaborate closely with the medical staff, nursing personnel, and other departments to promote teamwork and efficiency within the Operating Room and throughout the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Perform all primary functions of a CRNA, including administering anesthetics to surgical, obstetrical, dental, and emergency patients.
- Monitor patients under anesthesia with continuous reassessments, taking corrective measures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative anesthesia records.
- Demonstrate proficiency in:
- IV Sedation
- Regional Blocks (e.g., SAB, Epidurals)
- General Anesthesia
- Assist with anesthesia department operations, including inventory control and overall department management.
- Support collaboration and teamwork across the Operating Room, hospital departments, and medical staff.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current license with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing.
- Graduate of an accredited school of anesthesia.
- Maintains continuing education credits required for AANA re-certification.
- Actively pursues ongoing education to stay current with CRNA best practices.
- Participates in professional development, educational conferences, and required updates.
- Maintains licensure as both a Registered Nurse (RN) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Demonstrates strong professional knowledge and clinical skills across all responsibilities.
