Leading Heart Hospital - Cardiothoracic Surgery - SSM Health Madison, WI

SSM Health-Dean Medical Group, a 500-physician multi-specialty group, is actively recruiting an experienced Physician Assistant, Cardiothoracic Surgery to work in our well-established Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. The department currently consists of 3 physicians and 6 APs.

SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital's robotic surgery capabilities are unmatched in the region, positioning us as one of only a handful of centers nationwide with the ability to offer the trifecta of robotic mitral, aortic, and coronary surgery.

As the ideal candidate, you would have surgical first assist experience and a strong attraction to the operating room.  Must be able to function in a high-stress environment and thrive within a team approach model.

The new provider’s responsibilities will include assisting in the operating room (including endoscopic and open vein and radial artery harvesting); patient care on the Cardiothoracic Surgery in-patient unit; night call on weeknights and weekends (anticipated 1 in 6 for each) for floor patients and for the operating room; and rare outpatient clinic care. Our teams include leading cardiologists, electrophysiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons - all providing the most innovative inpatient heart care.
