Job Summary:

Southwest Cardiothoracic Surgeons and Medical City Plano are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join our dynamic and growing Cardiothoracic Surgery team.

Qualified Candidates:
  • NCCPA Board Certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of CT Surgery experience preferred
  • Ability to first assist in a variety of cardiothoracic procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, thoracic and robotic cases
  • Proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
  • Comfortable managing pre- and post-operative care
  • Experienced in ICU management, hospital rounding, and outpatient clinic support
  • Ability to interpret diagnostic tests and formulate treatment plans
  • Current Texas PA license or ability to obtain prior to start
  • Monday–Friday schedule with rotating weekend and night call
  • Shared responsibility for inpatient consults, OR, ICU, and clinic coverage
