The MetroHealth Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine is seeking a highly motivated, adaptable APP interested in joining our growing Hospital Medicine group.
Our nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants will practice in a collaborative environment in our group of approximately 50 physicians and APPs in a nationally known major urban teaching hospital. Hospital Medicine provides care for approximately 70% of all MED-SURG patients in our system. This allows the opportunity to practice in a broad variety of inpatient settings. Our APPs care for patients on the Cardiology, Oncology, Psychiatry, Surgical, Stroke and Medical units. Two smaller hospitals on suburban medical campuses are a part of our 740-bed integrated Health System which also includes regional air ambulance service, Burn Center, and Level 1 Trauma Center. We have a variety of flexible scheduling opportunities as well including 10-hour shifts, 12-hours shifts, staggered start and nocturnist positions.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
• One or more years of patient clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously; capable of providing care without physician supervision.
• Acute care certification
Required:
·Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio Certificate of Authority as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty or Current physicians assistant licensure in the state of Ohio.
·Current Basic Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association or undergo provided training within 90 days of hire.
·Meets the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and must report to Medical Staff Office at time of hire to apply for clinical privileges
·Maintains a standard care arrangement and renews/signs it as required by the Ohio Board of Nursing Note: Other department specific qualifications for providers will be addressed through the Certificate of Authority and credentialing process.
