Job Description

Responsibilities

The Opportunity: 

  • Join a collaborative cardiology group comprised of 6 inpatient physicians and 1 APRN.
  • Enjoy a flexible schedule with options for either:
    • Three 12-hour day shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
    • Four 10-hour day shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday)
  • Manage a diverse patient caseload encompassing general cardiology, arrhythmias, electrophysiology, and interventional cardiology.
  • Function as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), working in collaboration with cardiologists.
  • Provide direct, comprehensive, preventative, and therapeutic healthcare to patients and families, ensuring high-quality and patient-centered care.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and prescribe medications in accordance with Nurse Practitioner Protocols and all applicable regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education and counseling to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Deliver healthcare services within the scope of education, training, and demonstrated competence.
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient care with members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient operations, fiscal responsibility, and effective resource management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the cardiology group and the patient population.

Qualifications
  • Current APRN licensure in Arkansas.
  • Completion of an accredited graduate program in nursing and preceptorship, including supporting documentation. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS certification (for in-patient setting) is preferred.
  • Acute Care certification required
  • Eligibility for a Medicare provider number and DEA registration.
  • Three to five years of clinical experience is preferred.  One year experience in an APRN Role preferred.
