Advanced Practice Provider Day-time Hospitalist Needed in Beautiful Western, NC 

UNC Health Caldwell is the choice for health care in Caldwell County. The Emergency Department sees approximately 30,000 visits a year. UNC Health Medical Group (UNCHMG) provides the majority of primary care and select specialty care to our market from thirteen separate medical park locations throughout the county. Our 137-bed licensed hospital is a member of the UNC Health System located in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. 

Position Details: 

• Work with a team of experienced and highly skilled physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners 
• Focus on teamwork, work-life balance, and flexibility 
• Standardized documentation and extensive resources to ensure maximal efficiency and support while minimizing unnecessary and time-consuming duties 
• 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p 
• EMR - Epic 
• In-house specialty backup available from Cardiology, Nephrology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, ENT, Pulmonology, Podiatry, Urology

Education Requirements: 

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program. 

Licensure/Certification Requirements: 

• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina. 
• Board certification if required by the Department. DEA. 

Professional Experience Requirements: 

• No prior experience required. 

Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements: 

• Demonstrated clinical competency. 
• Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills. 
• Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting. 
• Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
