Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - PRN Supplemental | Rochester, MN

This position administers inhalation anesthesia along with intravenous, spinal, and other types of anesthetic agents. Evaluates the patient with the anesthesiologist and/or surgeon, determines the safest technique and agent for surgical procedure, and takes appropriate action as needed. The CRNA remains with the patient until the procedure is finished and the patient care is transferred to other qualified providers. The CRNA then prepares and maintains related reports and records.

Starting Pay - $128.51/Hour

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an approved school of professional nursing
  • Graduate from an approved school of nurse anesthesia
  • Certified by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Current Minnesota State Advanced Practice Nursing License
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certification required

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administers anesthetics for surgical, obstetrical, medical, and dental procedures.
  • Maintains the patient in the desired anesthetic state by adjusting anesthetic as necessary.
  • Records the patient’s vital signs and watches for significant changes.
  • Administers CPR and airway maintenance in areas other than the OR.
  • Maintains a safe physical environment for patients and employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
