Seeking Full Time & Seasonal PRN Advanced Practice Providers to Join the Team in the ED at Tucson Medical Center
Integrative Emergency Services (IES) is now hiring a Physician Assistant or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-C certified) with at least one year of post-grad clinical experience in the Emergency Department.
Adult Emergency Department
- Volume: 80,000
- Admission Rate: 32%
- Patients/Hour: 1.7
- Physician Coverage: 69 hrs daily
- APP Coverage: 50 hrs daily
- APP Shifts:
- Fast track: 7a-3p, 9a-9p, 3p-11p

Adult ED Extension: 7a-7p, 9a-9p, 4p-12a
Pediatric Emergency Department
- Volume: 31,000
- Admission Rate: 5%
- Patients per Hour: 1.5-2
- Physician Coverage: 27 hours daily
- Physician Shifts: 9 hours
- APP Coverage: 10 hours daily (20 hours in winter)
- Pedi ED Beds: 14
- Pedi Hospital Beds: 33
- NICU: 42-bed, Level III
- PICU: 12 beds
- APP Shifts: 9a-7p; 6p-1a during winter surge
Hospital:
- Beds: 615
- EMR: Epic
- Certified Primary Stroke Center
- Accredited Chest Pain Center
- Gold Plus Achievement Award
Required Qualifications:
- One or more years post-graduate professional clinical experience in hospital Emergency Department
- Board-certified Physician Assistant or Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP-C)
- AZ PA or NP license
- DEA certificate
- BLS, ACLS & PALS NRP if working in Pedi ED
