Plastics PA Needed in Chicago

Position Summary: 

Sinai Chicago is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery team. The ideal candidate will assist in the full spectrum of surgical and clinical care, including reconstructive, cosmetic, and trauma-related procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population in an academic and mission-driven healthcare environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist plastic surgeons in the operating room, including first-assist duties for both inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures 
  • Perform pre-operative and post-operative evaluations and management 
  • Conduct independent outpatient clinics for follow-up visits, dressing changes, wound care, and minor procedures 
  • Document and maintain accurate and timely patient records in the EMR 
  • Participate in rounding on inpatients, including consults and ongoing care 
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team 
  • Provide education and support to patients regarding procedures, recovery, and treatment plans 
  • Participate in quality improvement and educational initiatives within the department 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program 
  • Current PA license in the State of Illinois (or eligibility) 
  • Board Certification by the NCCPA 
  • Minimum 1-2 years of surgical experience preferred, ideally in plastic surgery, general surgery, or a related field 
  • BLS and ACLS certification required 
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
