Remote Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Full-Time | Florida-Based | 3 Shifts/Week + Flexible Scheduling

Position: Nurse Practitioner – Behavioral Health (Remote – Florida Residents Only)

Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week (12 hours each)
• Mix of days, nights, weekends, and rotating holidays
• FTE: 0.9 FTE / 36 hours per week
• Compensation Type: Salaried, Exempt

Position Highlights:

• 100% remote position – must be located in Florida
• Work closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams
• Support acute assessments in EDs, medical units, and crisis stabilization units
• Lead direct admit orders and coordinate with accepting facilities

Responsibilities Include:

• Assess and manage patients presenting with acute behavioral health needs
• Evaluate risk of suicide/violence and determine appropriate levels of care
• Collaborate with families and facility staff as needed
• Initiate direct admits and support patient transitions
• Assist with rounding, documentation, and telepsychiatry consults
• Provide education to staff, patients, and families
• Promote quality improvement through performance and metric tracking
• Support environmental safety and policy adherence
• Advance team collaboration and workflow optimization

Requirements:
Education & Experience:

• Graduate of an NLN-accredited school of nursing
• PMHNP program graduate (Master’s or Doctorate required)

Licensure & Certification:

• Active Florida Nurse Practitioner license required
• Must reside in the state of Florida
• APRN licensure in additional states required within 9 months of hire
• Federal and State DEA licensure required within 9 months of hire
• Completion of any required state-specific education/certifications within required timeframes
